Identification & Travel Documents
Customers travelling on an Air Vanuatu domestic services must present a valid photo ID (Passport, Driver’s license, or National Identify card) at the Check-in counter. The name of the guest travelling must match with the ID presented.
Check-in Times
For domestic flights check-in opens 2 hours prior to departure and closes 45 minutes prior to departure.
Please ensure you allow sufficient time to get to the airport for your flight as failure to adhere to these timings will result in you being denied check-in.
Flight Connections
If you have connecting flights we recommend you allow sufficient time between your flights. We recommend the following:
From an Air Vanuatu Domestic service to another Air Vanuatu domestic service allow for a 30 minute connecting time.
From an Air Vanuatu Domestic service to an International flight allow for a 3 hour minimum connection time.
From an International flight to an Air Vanuatu domestic service flight allow for a 2 hour minimum connection time.
Air Vanuatu undertakes to use its best efforts to carry the Guest and baggage with responsible dispatch. Times shown in timetables or elsewhere are not guaranteed and form no part of this contract. Air Vanuatu may without notice substitute alternate carriers or aircraft, and may alter or omit stopping places shown on the ticket in case of operational necessity. Schedules are subject to change without notice. Air Vanuatu assumes no responsibility for making connections.
Liquids, Gels and Aerosols
Customer are permitted to carry liquids, aerosols, and/or gels (with caps) in containers with a maximum capacity of 100ml each and must fit comfortably inside one liter transparent reseal-able plastic bag.
Exceptions
Prescription and non-prescription medicines and baby products that you need for the flight, but please note your additional security checks may be conducted. Government screening requirements vary between countries and duty free liquids, aerosols and gels which exceed 100ml may not always be permitted through a screening point at all airports on your journey. If your journey includes a flight with a transit stop or a transfer to an onward connecting flight, you may be required to take these items through the transit or transfer.

Dangerous Goods
The following items must be placed in your checked baggage: - all knives, sharp objects or cutting implements of any kind and any length, whether of metal or other material (including, but not limited to paper knives, carpet knives, box cutters, letter openers, scissors of any kind, tradesman's tools, screwdrivers, corkscrews and darts), - knitting needles, and - sporting goods (including, without limitation, sporting bats, billiards/snooker/pool cues, catapults).
For safety reasons, the following types of Dangerous Goods must not be carried in your checked baggage - Corrosives, Gases, Toxic substances, Explosives, Infectious substances, Flammable liquids, Organic peroxides, radioactive materials, Flammable solids, Oxidizing materials, Magnetized materials and miscellaneous including asbestos, dry ice and internal combustion engines.
